Although Cryptococcal infection is worldwide distribution, it is more seen in the immunocompromised patients. Cryptococcus neoformans is the most common central neurvous system fungal pathogen in HIV infected patients. Besides clinical features and laboratory tests, imaging findings play an important role in the evaluation of cryptococcal infection. In this paper we present an immunocompromised HIV infected case of C. neoformans meningitis with clinical features and imaging characteristics by MR image.
