CASE REPORT ON THE FIRST SUPER SPREADER COVID-19 INFECTION PATIENT IN VIETNAM (26/01/2020)

Abstract
Objectives: To describe the epidemiological history and sequence of infection, clinical and subclinical characteristic and the treatment result of Covid-19 super spreader infectious case.
Subjects and method: Cross-sectional descriptions study. The patient was a confirmed case of Covid-19 infection, with super spreader manifestations; was interviewed about the history of epidemiology, recording clinical symptoms, treatment process; collect blood and respiratory swabs to perform etiology diagnostic test and routine testing. Result: Patients spread the disease to 6 other people, including direct transmission to 5 people and indirectly to 1 person. The main clin ical symptoms were fever, sore throat and a dry cough. The RT-PCR Covid-19 was positive once and then negative twice continuosly. Peripheral blood, biochemical blood test and chest X-ray showed normal results. The patient was treated with oral fluid and vitamine supplyment, fully recovered from hospital discharge and showed no abnormal symptoms for the next 14 days.
Conclusion: Patient transmitted disease to 6 other people, clinical manifestations were mild, normal blood test results, no lesions detected on chest X-ray. The patient was treated with oral fluid and vitamine supplyment, fully recovered and did not show any abnormal symptoms within 14 days after discharge.
