FACTORS RELATED TO NURSES' KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE ON HEALTH EDUCATION FOR PATIENTS AT NHAN AI HOSPITAL IN 2021

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the factors related to knowledge and practice of nurses in health education at Nhan Ai Hospital, 2021.


Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out from June 2021 to October 2021. All 104 clinical nurses who directly take care of patients are given a self-assessment form of health education for patients based on the following contents: familiarization, listening, observation, questioning, use material, encourage, motivate praise and explain.   Results: General correct knowledge of nurses in health education for patients accounted for 90.4%. General correct practice of nurses in health education for patients accounts for 91.3%. In this study, there is a relationship between knowledge and practice of health education of nurses (p < 0.05).


Conclusion: The knowledge and practice of health education of nurses is high. The relationship between knowledge and practice of nursing health education is statistically significant.
