DEVELOPMENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CHILDREN WITH CONGENITAL RUBELLA SYNDROME AT HANOI IN PERIOD FROM 2012 TO 2017

Abstract

Objectives: The aim of the study was to decribe characteristics of developmental delays among children with congenital rubella syndrome in Hanoi, 2012 - 2017.
Subjects and methods: This is a prospective study on 295 children with congenital rubella infection, we used
Denver II and MCHAT for developmental evaluation.
Results: Monitoring the development in 295 survival children up to 48 months of age: intellectual disability
(20%); slow development of gross motor delay (68.1%), language delay (93.6%), final-motor adoptive delay
(65.8%), individual-social delay (59.9%).
Conclusions: Majority of children with congenital rubella infection were devepmental delays.
