STUDY ON THE KNOWLEDGES AND PRACTICES OF NURSES ON HEALTH EDUCATION FOR PATIENTS AT NHAN AI HOSPITAL IN 2021

Abstract

Background: Health education plays an important role in health care work at medical examination facilities in particular and the community in general. Health education helps patients raise awareness and change behavior towards their health and disease.


Objective: Describe the knowledge and practice of nurses on health education for patients at Nhan Ai Hospital, 2021.


Subjects and method: cross-sectional description study. All nurses workinh at the Hospital. Results: Female respondents accounted for 66.7%. Nurses aged 30 - 39 years old accounted for the highest rate 62.3%, with mean age = 32.4 ± 5.22 years old, married women 91.3%, average working time of nurses was 91.3%. 8.77 ± 4.61 years, nurses with College - University degrees account for 84.6% and 80.9% are nursing nurses. Knowledge of health education of nurses at the hospital with the overall rate of 90.4%. In which, excellent accounts for 43.3%, excellent accounts for 33.7%, and quite good accounts for 13.5%. The practice of health education of nurses at the hospital with the overall achievement rate accounted for 91.3%. In which excellent accounted for 54.8%, good accounted for 29.9%, and quite accounted for 6.7%.


Conclusion: The general knowledge of health education of nurses accounted for 90.4%. Practice on health education accounted for 91.3%.
