Abstract
Objective: To survey knowledge of patients and their family members about COVID-19 control and prevention.
Subjects and methods: Patients and their family members who were being treated at the hospital surveyed during the period from March 1, 2020 to March 31, 2020. Cross-sectional descriptive studies.
Results and conclusions: 61.3% of participants recognize that this is a particularly dangerous disease. 96% of participants answered the modes of transmission of COVID-19. Answering fully and correctly 3 methods has 55% of participants. 92.2% of participants indicated a cough, 65% of participants showed shortness of breath, chest tightness and only 31.1% of participants thought that fever was a common symptom of COVID-19. 94.6% of participants understand that wearing a mask correctly and 93.7% understand that frequent hand washing with soap contributes to preventing Covid infection 19.
