Abstract

Objectives: To describe the current situation and identify some risk factors acssociated to occupational stress of nurses at National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.
Subjects and methods: A descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted to assess occupational stress based on the Expended Nursing Stress Scale (ENSS).
Results: TThere are 165 nurses participated in the survey with female accounted for 85.5%. Mean of ENSS score was 102.4 ± 27.61. Overall prevalence of occupational stress was 32.1%. Risk factors associated with the highest proportion of occupational stressed nurses were: working at Emergency Department and.
Conclusions: overall, nearly one third of surveyed nurres acquired occupational stress. The highest ratios were among nures: working in the ED - ICU.
